Summary of differences between different classes of employee Insurance
Description Group Hospital & Surgical (GHS) Group Major Medical (GMM) Group Term Life (GTL) Group Personal Accident (GPA) Workmen's Compensation (WC) Group Travel Insurance (GTI)
Coverage Covers eligible costs incurred for hospitalisation & surgical expenses. Covers eligible in-hospitalisation expenses that are in excess of that claimable under GHS. Covers insured member upon death and/or total permanent disablement arising out of sickness, disease or accident. Covers insured member upon death and/or permanent disablement arising out of accident. Covers against legal liability to pay compensation to employees arising from accidents in the course of employment under common law up to S$10 million any one event or in accordance with Workmen's compensation legislation. Covers insured member for death and permanent disablement whilst on business trip. Policy may also cover hijack, personal liability, loss of baggage and personal effects, hospital and medical expenses from accident/illness and associated accommodation and travelling costs, loss of deposits due to accident/illness, loss of money and credit cards.
